Sometimes called shoulder screws, shoulder bolts feature an unthreaded shoulder where items like wheels and pulleys can be attached and rotated. The shoulder bolt socket’s head is larger in diameter than the shoulder itself, while the shoulder is minimally larger than the threaded part of the screw. When the bolt is installed, the shoulder part of the screw penetrates the surface that the screw was driven into, making it particularly stable. This shoulder bolt socket head is designed for use with Kelley dock levelers.
