This sensing switch assembly is intended for use with Rite Hite dock levelers. Sensors are designed to prevent accidents and injuries if your dock leveler comes into close proximity to any foreign objects, including humans. The sensor wire, which is mounted to the underside of the deck, also comprises a switch that responds to the wire’s movements. Without a working sensor assembly, your dock leveler may fail to notice loading dock personnel and others who are in the deck’s path as it is being lowered.
