A dock leveler ratchet bar is a steel bar that works in tandem with a toothed-device known as a pawl to form the ramp control hold-down of a mechanical dock leveler. Over the course of time, ratchet bars wear down, and they are unable to secure the dock leveler properly. This ratchet bar is for a Rite-Hite mechanical dock leveler. Replacing a worn ratchet bar with a brand new one will ensure that the dock leveler is securely held at all times.
