More Description for Rite-Hite 503AR
A dock leveler hold-down may be electrical, manual, or hydraulic. A hold-down is an essential part of the dock leveler because it keeps the dock leveler at a constant height below, at, or above the loading dock when the dock leveler is not in use. Damaged ramp control teeth or frayed brake on a load dock leveler can cause the dock leveler to pop up, creating a dangerous situation.
This hold-down ramp control is for Rite-Hite mechanical dock levelers. In addition to stabilizing the dock leveler and decreasing the probability of dock leveler pop-ups, this hold-down ramp control includes an upgraded and patented auto release feature.
