A dock leveler hold-down can be manual, hydraulic, or electric. A hold-down is a critical part that keeps the dock leveler in place at a consistent height below, at, or above the loading dock when the dock leveler is not being used. If the ramp control teeth on a load dock leveler get damaged or the brake gets frayed, this can create a hazardous situation in which the dock leveler pops up. This hold-down ramp control is for Rite-Hite mechanical dock levelers. Not only does this hold-down stabilize the dock leveler and reduce the possibility of dock leveler pop-ups, but it also has an upgraded and patented auto release feature.
